Big Blue water housings are also available from stock at Sterling Filtration Ltd. They are a more heavy duty, all polypropolene filter housing available in 10” and 20” length bowls. It takes elements up to 4 ½ inch diameter with double open ended knife edge seal fittings. The housing can be supplied with or without a pressure relief valve. Inlet and outlet connections are BSP female threaded. Mounting brackets and bowl spanners are also available.

We can also offer the Aqua-Mini range of smaller housings with ports 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch BSP ports. These heads come with holes to allow them to be fitted to a unit or wall with screws. Ideal to use where a minimum amount of water is used.

Carbon filters are used to take odours and bad tastes from water. They come in granules, solid carbon and are available as elements and as inline filters from Sterling Filtration Ltd. The GAC9 is an activated carbon filter element (filter granules) at 20 micron. The PAC9 is a bonded carbon element. The difference between the GAC9 and PAC9 is: GAC9 has two cylinders inner and outer separated by the carbon granule membrane. The water flows into the outer cylinder, through the carbon and out through the inner cylinder. The PAC9 has an outside-in flow like most normal cartridge/element style filters (due to its solid structure media.) The A1CRO/GAC is an in-line carbon filter element with ¼” female threads. Speedfit adaptors for the A1CRO/GAC are also available.
